Upgrading from PC/TopKAT Version 2 or 3 to Version 4

Shut Down Interbase Server

The Interbase Server must be shut down or stopped prior to PC/TopKAT installation or

uninstallation.

For Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows ME

®

1 Right click on the Interbase Server icon in the lower right corner of the Windows Taskbar tray.

2 Select Shutdown.

For Windows 2000

1 Log onto your PC as the Administrator.

2 Click the Start button.

3 Click Settings.

4 Click Control Panel.

5 Click Administrative Tools.

6 Double click on the Services icon in Control Panel.

7 Select Interbase Server from the list.

8 Click the Stop button.

9 Follow the on-screen instructions.

For Windows NT

®

1 Log onto your PC as the Administrator.

2 Click the Start button.

3 Click Settings.

4 Click Control Panel.

5 Double click on the Services icon in Control Panel.

6 Select Interbase Server from the list.

7 Click the Stop button.

8 Follow the on-screen instructions.
